BEST Profession for a PVE RETRI PALADIN ?

Hi guys,

I am currently using JWC/MINING atm but i want to max my dps for raids. I am willing to give up mining but i think im gonna keep jwc(or not), so i want to know what profession should i get? Im thinking TAILORING for the 400ap cloack enchant or maybe ENGI for the haste hands. Idk. Please help. Keep in my that im just a ret dps pally, nothing else. I just want to get the top dps for a paladin. And what im missing right now is profession. Thank you guys!

Eng for sure. It's very good.

1) you always get the full benefit of the haste to gloves as you don't stack haste as a ret and will never approach the haste cap.
2) great burst dps esp if you can use the gloves with wings+trinkets+potion
3) rocket boots let you straight up ignore certain mechanics and play extra greedy with dps
4) all kinds of other utility such as mailboxes, transporting, extra elemental farming, access to bank from anywhere, etc.

Also, if you have offspec, it's very good for tanking or holy too.

Hey thanks for your reply man.. yeah ive considered that actually but im realy torn between engi ang tailoring...isnt the 400ap+ enchant in the cloak more than those perks coming from engi?pls let me know. If not then ill just start leveling my engi then. Will look forward for your reply. Thanks

I'd still give eng the advantage.

Using Rawr as a simulator for DPS (it's not perfect but can give us an idea of approximate value of each of these enchants in a vaccum).

At t7 BIS gear, the tailoring enchant gives you 95 extra dps. The hands give you 47. It actually shows the rocket enchant being better, but again it doesn't consider overlapping effects. So in a vacuum, it would seem that 95 > 47.

However, the 47 is ONLY if you're using the accelerators by themselves without any other dps increasing effects. If you use them with wings, trinkets, and a potion of wild magic you get a much larger effect as you're hitting faster while also hitting harder. This will probably push you pretty close to the 95 of tailoring, but wait! there's more.

With eng you can also add bombs into your rotation, filling gaps in your FCFS with explosives that deal yet more DPS. This puts eng way ahead.

Plus, if you PVP eng is definitely BIS.
