WotLK Did not get my bid from AH back

yesterday i bidden Spiked Titansteel Helm on AH (for around 1400g) by mistake and then few seconds later bought it out, by I did not receive the bid back. Is that normal? :(

I am pretty sure that in such a case, you get simply1400g less substracted when you do the buyout, so you lost nothing in the end
