Technical After account email change, i can't create a new account with old email

So I want to create a new account using my old email. I changed the email on this account (cupofnoodles) successfully to another one but i cannot create a new account with my old email (which i changed) because it says it's still in use. Any help? Is there really no way i can use my old email?
