Class for new player, HELP !!

can anyone help me choose a class ? i want to follow this class to do both pve and pvp until i learn it so since i'm probably going to be devoting years i want to choose what suits me, i'm pvp guy from little i have played but i want to do pve first to gear up a bit after hitting 80 and than bgs and than arenas, i'm not sure if this is correct path of progression if not tell me and i was saying that i'm pvp guy and i want clas to be damage, ranged or malee doesn't matter and it has to be bit simple and if it can't be 8 out of 10 points in both pvp or pve than i can be 7 it should be just able to do both or at least just heroic dungeons it's ok if it's not sought after in raids cuz by the time i have enough gs for icc i would be doing bgs probably and wouldn't waste my time on pve if there isn't any item in there that is neccesary even for pvping.

anyway what's the best progression to learn my class and in the end stand in the arena ?

My best suggestion when i see a post with that question is to watch a video for every class or a few classes that you like by their name/appearance. Watch a min or two of that class and see if you like it, if you like a few - choose the one you liked the most and you are done. The game is very is easy to pick up and pretty straightforward, the pvp part is the most challenging. There are tons of guides for everything, a lot of that information can be found on this very forum via the search function or the Categories in the main page.
