There has been a discussion with a guildmate of mine that says that Wandering Plague has no ICD.
I say it does (as I have read here). So I tried to test it.
This is what I get by letting the diseases tick around 200 times each:
Refreshing through pestilence (one time pestilence reached another dummy but I quickly obliterated it to remove diseases. Also 2 times delay caused disease to fall off so I had to re apply them)
Refreshing through IT + PS
My stats:
So as you can see it almost seems like Glyph of Pestilence is better (I guess this is just rng in this case, anyway they seem pretty on par).
Do you think this is a testing problem (i.e. I should have tested more like 3-5 times each, I should have more crit etc) or it may be a bug?
Ugh.. it does have an ICD of 1 second, there's no inherent benefit to glyph of disease for pestilence nor downside as it will keep disease timers separate. The difference you're seeing is likely due to your crit rating (:
All you need to do to disprove what your guildie is saying is to spread diseases on dummies. Using a log for this would be best as combat log would be hard to sift through. If he's right the number of WP hits would be quite substantial. Of course this DOES mean that you'll have to apply diseases in such a way that they tick in between 1s intervals.
it isnt about icd, its about that your dots shouldnt proc in same time, because only one dot will count toward woundering proc, so best way is not to use glyph of diseases
From what I was told, Pestilence and Glyph of Diseases got fixed and now the Diseases will proc at a different/separate time even after you use Pestilence to refresh them, just as long as you applied them separately.
However, the main reason why the glyph is not worth it is simply because the damage done from IT + PS + BS + Glyph of Icy Touch is higher than Pesti + SS + Glyph of Disease, on top of more Runic Power gain...
