So I searched for a topic like this, but having not found it, I made my own. Basically looking for someone to give me pointers on priority items to get for hunter with vote points to boost him to be able to run rdfhc. So far I'm thinking of http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=47214 and http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=45498 . Hunter is a fresh 80 in greens so anything is an upgrade.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

That is a good chooise to start but i woudl get abit more VP for trink and buy something for 17 with ilvl 232 or 239 so you boost you'r Gs also abit.

i would buy Giant's Bane(gun) before that spear because all of your attacks are from range wep
p.s. it would be best to say how much points u have and how much u would invest in it

My hunter knowledge might be bit rusty..
Wouldn't you want the highest damaging weapon, more than something with good stats?

Yeah, for the trink #2 I would MAYBE get http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=45931 or http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50198 , but most likely wouldn't buy for that slot since I can get scorpion easily once I get into rdfhcs.
You see I'm thinking of just skipping ranged weapon slot since I can just buy http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50444 on AH for 100-200g and it pretty much seems to have better damage/speed than anything in the voteshop.
And about the points, I could probably spend up to 100-150 vp on the hunter, that's not a problem. Just I would like to know what items would be recommended as a "MUST GET" and what as a "MEH, IF YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO SPEND VP ON".
I agree about damage/speed of ranged being more important, that's why I think http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50444 is better than anything else in the voteshop.

If you wanna go 'cheap' getting Rowan is the way to go, until you get http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50262 from simple PoS HC farm
This is usually why I don't spend many points on gear that are almost guaranteed to get from FoS PoS HoR farms.
If there's no good EoT, FoS, PoS, HoR alternative for the item, or ToC if you like to farm it, get that. Usually a trinket is a big upgrade to DPS/GS.

Get Blood of the old god and Banner of victory, but don't stack arp before you can reach 60% with your gear alone. The spear is fine, the ICC trash gun is better than anything before TOC10HC/25NM/25HC and then the big raid - ICC. I would also skip on getting leggings from LW, as well as boots, but the boots might be a good investment, since you will either use the ones from RS25NM or HC.
