Bitefight if browser games count, but Knight Online was the first real MMO experience I had. Played many games, at some point 4Story got released. Gameplay of it kind of reminded me what I saw watching WoW videos so it made me yearn for it more and at the end find out private servers are a thing and how to connect to them. Turns out it was piss easy to experience the real thing.
I started playing an Argentinian MMORPG called Argentum Online in 2008; it was a 2D game... quite popular in my country at that time.
