1. Players who got Deathcharger's Reins, how many attempts did it take?

    Hello!

I think that the Argent Dawn must be pretty damn tired of hearing of my "Valiant deeds" 178 times so far...

First of all, I'm the type of player who does not like to leave things unfinished once I decided something in my head. Even if at a slow pace, I'll do my best to achieve what I desire. Now, this is the "policy" I've been following for over a year now when it comes to farming Stratholme for this mount. The best thing is, I only need the achievement because I think the mount just looks like any other undead racial to most people, unless they know that Deathcharger has a slightly more blue-ish glare to it. I highly doubt that one could f*ck something up during this farm, I mean my quickest time from reset to reset is 5min58sec. I enter via the service gate, kill only the 3 mini bosses while avioding most of the trash, use nitro boost whenever I can and finally kill Rinvendare and sprint back to reset. I developed my own route and method to aviod most of the trash. I used to loot everything for my first 40-50 runs, this way one run was 13 mins and I even had to go out, sit on the mammoth, sell trash, mail the BoEs to my bank account etc etc... It was just not worth it for me, I'd rather wait the ID limit for normal dungs, which is 5 run / hour.

On my main I have 178 kills. I will never lose hope, I just wanted to make sure that the drop rate is indeed 1%, not the 0.1% that some people
( and atlas ) say. I know how RNG works so I know 1% is always 1%, not effected by the things that happened in the past. I also know the formula that calculates your chances of seeing the mount drop, which is like 66% for 100 runs. There are many players running around on this mount, and of course, their statistics tab gives it all away. As you may know, you can compare your statistics tab with other players, not only the achi tab. And in this tab, each and every ( main ) boss kill is documented. I just can't help but wonder how on earth I've never met one single player that was happily riding Deathcharger and got more than 10 kills on the boss. I mean every. single. player.

Of course people can always get lucky and probably these dudes are the lucky 1% who were just boosting some friend or maybe run the dungeon as low lvl and got the mount. It is still millions times better than farming some old raid legendaries or mounts that can only be done 1 / week, or even the Raven Lord and the Swift White Hawkstrider, which are a once per day thing.

Anyways, as many players stated before, the secret is NOT to expect anything from the run, cuz no expectations, no disappointments. That's why I used to go in for the BoE and gold loot for my first runs. Nowadays I just try to beat my record for the fastest run, and ironically, sometiems I think to myself: "Man
it's gonna feel so nice to be the guy with the most Rivendare kills on Warmane without having the mount"

The official maths says its gonna take 458 runs to have a 99% chance of seeing this drop, but ofc one can never reach 100% certainty.

  2. There are many calculators that show you what your chance is after x attempts. After 178 attempts, you have had a 83.287 % chance of seeing the mount.

My personal recommendation: the mount is ugly as hell, and it's not worth it.
