WotLK Account Compromised, but Recovered: What Now?

Yesterday (May 25) I logged into my Warmane account for the first time in over 2 years, and upon doing so I've discovered that someone else has most definitely been playing on my account. Every one of my character names has been changed, my bank alt is deleted, most of my gold is gone, my bars are set up in a way that I would never use, and some of my characters are members of guilds that don't even speak English (which I certainly did not join myself.) According to the Warmane website character history, I see that most of my characters have been logged in within the past month, May 2021. The last time I personally played on Warmane was over 2 years ago, all this recent activity (up until May 25) was someone else with unauthorized access to my account.

My password has been changed to a much better one, as well as setting up email 2fa with the same secure gmail that has been registered with this Warmane account for its entire existence.

I was warned by other members of the Warmane community that I should make this situation known to Warmane staff, before whoever was using my account tries to claim that I'm the one stealing the account from them. I've always really liked Warmane, I don't want to get banned! I already came close to losing everything as it is! :P

If you recovered your account there's nothing else for Warmane staff to do.
Account security is your responsibility. You can't get anything back if that's what you're thinking.
