a friend of mine gifted me some coins, we did it very thorough and made sure everything was correct but i never got them, any idea why or has this happened to others?

Yeah, yeah. Another story of "friend of mine" or "my friend quits WoW". You just got scammed by some slick guy and now your account will be banned for RMT outside of Warmane ecosystem. Lemme guess, he offered 300 coins for 20€?
Without unedited screenshots from both yours and his sides, it is pointless to even try to demand anything from server.
