Coin gifting / Scammers

Hello Wamene players,

i play some hours on warmane exactly on icecrown realm. Some players offering coins for cheap price then official warmane website and its legal?
Anyway is too late for that question, bcs i already try to buy some coins from another player and he scam me definitely, bcs he said 24 hours when coins are gifted, but i read some topic there and the gift is instant sometimes. so is there some way to punish him? (I predicted he is scammer so i send only 6€)

Your fault for not being careful. Coins can indeed be sold through OFFICIAL WARMANE WEBSITE through trade section here: https://www.warmane.com/account/trade not through gifting system.
And it's a good thing he scammed you. If you're that naive to trust people randomly without doing your own research, you had it coming. There is no way to punish him because you have no proof and if he did get punished you get punished alongside with him for breaking the terms of service you agreed upon after making an account.

Of course, this is not legal. However, global chat isnt moderated. The only legal ways to get coins is donating warmane or getting gift from a friend (+ lottery/events).

These guys that are trying to sell coins really cheap by gifting are of course scammers and You will never ever see Your coins or 6eur.

Sorry to say that, but thats quite Your fault for being too naive, w/o knowledge of the rules.

Maybe 6 euro is not much, but these guys scam hundreds of people like you, weekly, enough to not do honest work like normal people.
Other question, how these scammers can live like that, knowing that they lie every day, thats not a life but some weird exsistence similair to tick insect.

Well, there are jobs that harm the society much more than smbd who is scamming nerds in a virtual world.
Imagine you are a business consultant and your job is to give companys advices on how they can maximise the income of the management by firing employees.

Scammed in a virtual world for real world money is the same as scammed in the real world.
Anyway, OP, you done ****ed up, be happy you're not banned alongside the scammer as Thorbjorn said, buying or selling coins and services outside of the official trade section is against the rules and will get you permabanned, no matter which side you were on (gifting, receiving or getting scammed).
