1. No Realms to Choose From?

    Hi,

New to the private server. Installed everything and changed my realmlist to logon.warmane.com but not getting any servers to choose from to create a character.

  2. "installed everything", what do you mean?
beside the fact WoW does not require any "installation", if you have download the client from here: https://www.warmane.com/download there were no need to change "realmlist"

  3. Sorry, was trying to answer questions before they became questions and now I can see it's more confusing.
I just mean I go a fresh install for the warmane server and updated my realmlist so that it pulled correctly for this client. I also made sure properties were not set for "read only".

  4. Update, the files keep defaulting to "read only" (saw that unticking that works in other forum posts).

Also, tried using another folder/client and changing the realmlist and still won't show realm options there.

  5. can you post a SS to show where you get "stuck" ?

  6. I don't know how to post a screenshot in here, but essentially I don't have any realms to choose from. The realmlist is completely blank.

  7. From where did you download the client ?

  8. I downloaded from warmane.com. Also, tried using another folder/client and changing the realmlist and still won't show realm options there.

  9. Make sure you use account name(not email) to log in, maybe that's the problem.

  10. It seems he gets to login, but can't retrieve realms.

Exit and quit torrent, if you still have it on.
    Move WoW to new folder.
Open WoW folder's properties with right click on the folder, and un-check Read-only.
Run the WoW.exe and see what happens.
If login is successful and there are no realms to choose from, exit the client.
Open WoW/WTF/Config.wtf make sure there's SET realmList "logon.warmane.com"
Open WoW/Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf make sure there reads: set realmlist logon.warmane.com

  11. Yeah that was the first thing I did and still no servers are showing up. I am having issues un-checking the "read-only", as it will default back to checked. I moved all the files to their own folder and even undownloaded my torrent software.

  12. I am having issues un-checking the "read-only", as it will default back to checked.
A square in the read-only box does not mean that it's checked. It just means that files in the folder might have different values and they will not change when you press OK or Apply.

Empty realm list usually means that you have wrong expansion or patch but that seems unlikely if you downloaded the client from Warmane. Which expansion are you trying to play and what patch is your client? If you don't know the patch, you can see it in bottom left corner on login screen.

  13. Trying to play WotLK, downloaded 1.12.1 from the downloader on this website.

  14. 1.12.1 is vanilla WoW not wotlk. If you downloaded it from Download page on Warmane site, there is no such option: https://www.warmane.com/download

  15. I FOUND THE ISSUE. I must have crossed folders when moving out of the torrent folder, so yes was trying to open on 1.12.1. Found an old 3.3.5 client in my computer and updated some of the Config and we are GOOD TO GO. Thanks!
