I really want to learn how to use AH effectively in order to earn some gold, are there any guides on the forums, videos or is someone maybe willing to help me on my quest?

What do you want to know? It's just a grind, million gold is 1g profit million times.

I have 3k gold that I can use for trading, I'm not sure if I should be looking for lots of items that have a small profit margin or armor pieces, or if I should utilize professions to make money

Currently prices are raising almost daily, so you can profit on pretty much anything.

Crafting is definitely best profit. But takes time, so it's sort of the same as running around mining or skinning in a sense.

Don't take a bait on "big huge omg profit BOE's and stuff", instead spend 500g on Abyss Crystals, 500g on Dream shards, 500g on TBC materials, 500 on Leather, etc. You need to go "wider" like this.

Get an addon that loots expired acutions from mailbox, you will need that. Make Batch posting setup, so you can repost everything easily.

And what am I supposed to do with Abyss Crystals, Dream shards etc. craft something with them or just wait for them to go up in price?

Since you want to use AH to make gold, just repost them. Buy more for any profits you make and keep reposting them. Then after some time you will have 9000+ Abyss Crystals posted. You will have more gold coming in than you can possibly spend way before that point.

You make it sound simple, but it really isnt. The hardest thing for me is finding good items. I feel that it might be because of that I don't know what half of the items even do. I literally just power leveled to lvl 80 and afterwards I just did FoS and PoS for DAYYSS and I got so bored. I feel like such a noob even tho I'm almost ready for raiding.
