Hello, I'm just here to share the idea of changing the expansion from WOTLK to Cataclysm. As I am sure there are people tired of WOTLK by now and are looking for something new and fresh to contine the journey of world of warcraft.

Just info on how I would enjoy the game the most: You start at level 80 with balanced items, start with dual talents. This is how the game will be most fun to play, considering you can make as many alts as you want and you can still get them to full level. I hope this topic sparks interest in the WOW community.

Just want to know what people thinks about the idea of starting as 80 with gear and dual talents. In my point of view this will have people make alts in masses. People could come here and share ideas and maybe the admins /GMs will have a serious discussing regarding the state of the game and what people in the fan base would want to have to enjoy the game the most.

They won't have anything close to "serious" discussion.
Cataclysm is dead expansion. Playerbase is not interested in it. And no, 100 Deathwing slayer wannabes are not playerbase, they are middle school tennis club.
Also, such "suggestion" is against forum rules IIRC.

You wouldn't know before it was at least tested once. How do you know Cataclysm wont be a good hit? Its not a dead expansion, its just not a common one because everything is WOTLK related and that expansion is on the verge of being dead itself.

Well, if you scrolled forum just for 5 minutes before creating dat thread, you would've know truth by yourself and won't create it.
You are not even in first hundred of guys who come here and say "Hey, open Cata realm, will be very cool. Just make us instant 80/85, with good starting gear, all needed professions etc. Let us farm dungeons and raids for several monthes till we leave being sated from reviving our memories. Playerbase? Maintenance costs? Staff wages? We don't want to hear about it, we want to play our pseudo-favorite expansion using your benefits instead of migrating to other server".
That was general image of typical Cata enjoyer who comes here with such idea and fails to back it up in any way

Well now that wotlk is on verge of extinction it wouldnt hurt to make a fresh cata, you know, just to see if it hits. I'm gonna bet you that the server will have thousands of player if the server is made correctly, i.e instant 80 with dual talents and proffs would be nice also.

I don't think cataclysm is a dead expansion. There are some good servers where people are still playing and those numbers are ok. Don't fool yourself. I myself don't like cataclysm but some people obviously do.
The one we had here was removed as it was buggy as hell and other servers took the advantage.

You don't like Cataclysm? Any particiular reason why? I myself enjoyed it alot. I was thinking about playing something I never played before but I'm tired of WOTLK so I'm hoping to make my way into Cataclysm.

People are so tired of WotLK that "only" 15490 players are online (and that's only on Warmane alone), and it's not even close to peak hours.

I wish there was just normal fully scripted CATA realm with 7x exp, reps, open marketplace for coins. Just like Icecrown.
I know there was Cata realms on warmane in like 2012-2015, but lets be honest. Back then it was far from being perfect when talking about bugs. If we had fully scripted CATA realm like we have wotlk, im sure it would bring a lot of new players to server.

Why are you stopping yourself? Do not wish, just DO IT!
But now down to ground level. Your "i'm sure" and other fluffy sugar things are irrelevant. Cata is suboptimal resource investment on Warmane cluster. Dat tiny gain in population will result in realm being abandoned/idling in somewhat of a year. Done. Finish. Das ende. Finita la comedia. Konet'z.
OFC you can gift Warmane team rig with cool server CPU and professional GPU, alongside with bunch if other needed things for private server. But you won't, right?

I dont think Warmane wants to do it because it would take too much of resources. Also they cant be sure people would play it and keep it alive
