Forum Converting to Battle.net account?

Hello! I am having an issue with connecting to my profile because when I try to log into the game with the my warmane profile it says this:
(This account needs to be converted to a Battle.net account. Plese {Click here} to begin the conversion.)
So when I press it I go to the Battle net website where it says 404 page error and now I cannot log into my account.
My question is what to do now and do I need to subscribe in order to play?

Did you use username to login? You should.
Is the realmlist.wtf (located at WoW/Data/enUS) (open with notepad) set to:
set realmlist logon.warmane.com
