Technical No Settings adjustment ever seem to be saved? Multiple issues

Hey everyone
Recently hopped back onto Warmane. Not sure my issue currently, but my client will literally reduce back to 1024/780, and its default graphical settings. It never memorizes my account login, even if I select remember account name.
And the first character I made simply vanished from one login to the next.
I'm not sure what the issue is. The client was downloaded directly from the links provided here. What am I missing?
BTW I am using the WotLK client, no mods whatsoever. Help!

For the not saving of graphic settings issue, that's resolved (and has been since forever ago, many posts about it here). Change you WTF/Config file from "read only". Right click, select properties, and click the tab on the bottom that says "read only" so it's no longer toggled. The other issues I'm not so sure on. With the multiple accounts I use, I don't save my username so can't help you there. Best of luck.
