Forum Buying character on SFS quest

Hey i found a guy from global that is selling ret paladin with SFS quest with 5 shards on it completed.
My questions are

1. If i buy it without the shadow edge does the quest reset from zero ?

2. Can i write ticket to gms to get the shadow edge, as we do for the ashen verdict ring

SFS are gone(?), if the sale doesn't include inventory, as that's where they reside.
Quest progression should remain, but idk how staff would handle Shadow's Edge situation.
