I have a new laptop with Vega8 integrated graphics which runs the game at 60fps outside of Dalaran on max settings. Inside dalaran fps drops to around 25-30 fps.
So I would say any laptop with at least a good integrated graphics or better with a dedicated graphics card will run the game very well.

Info, info, info...
One man's trash is another man's treasure!
What is portable to you? how small is too small? 13 inch or 12 inch screen?
Personally i'm a big believer in Lenovo Thinkpad from my uni days...
I have played using an Intel HD 620 on a Thinkpad T470s. Also, I have played using an Intel UHD 770.
The trick is using dxvk and having updated drivers.
Is it that heavy?
Will it ruin my finger?
Dude, you made me scared!
I was going to give it a try!
What should I do now?
idk but depending on your budget, best option is ofc a normal pc.
you can always use usb keyboard/mouse combo for heating problems
