Dungeon Finder Queue Times (Question)

Hello all,

Does anyone here have a decent idea if the dungeon queues are faster on Icecrown or Lordaeron? Or further, faster on Horde or Alliance side? I would like to level through a combination of questing and dungeons (I will heal for faster queues) but I would like to assure that I can get into dungeons from time to time. I play US Eastern time in the afternoons which I know makes it a bit more difficult to match with people.

I don't know about Lordareon, but on Icecrown as healer you will got faster queue as healer, but you still will wait 5-10 minutes for tanks. Best suggestion i can give you is, if you are playing a healer that have a Tank spec (Druid or Paladin), to queue as tank while leveling

Hit or miss really. It's just about how lucky you're with timing.

Not that many players queue for dungeons while leveling. While Icecrown has probably more levelers, they level up quickly outside of dungeons already. Don't think there are many people "reliably" spamming them. More likely they do dungeon or two if there are in level range of few good ones with quests near each other e.g. Zul'Farrak.

Lorderon is slower leveling, but even there I don't think that many go into dungeons without having a possible quest or two with nice rewards. Questing wins here too, as you're not relying on anybody to have progress.

It seems like I'm SOL trying to find a way to level like I did back in the day. Classic WOTLK still doesn't have dungeon finder and it seems like most people on private servers don't care for leveling through dungeons. I've loved dungeons because they're a good way to have player interaction without the high stakes of raiding or competitive PVP.

I'll probably still try to level on Icecrown and keep myself in the RDF queue at all times. Are there any numbers indicating if Horde or Alliance are more populated? I'll roll with whatever faction has more people to improve my chances.

In the information section at the top. Horde seems to be always the most populated.
