Hello! Returning WoW player here, looking for a fun time with PVE content

Hello!

So... i have not really dabbled much in private servers before, but i thought i would give it a shot and read good things about Warmane.
I'm looking for some standard casual PVE fun i.e. doing dungeons and maybe some raiding in due time.

I was wondering if certain servers are more commonly accociated with PVP or PVE? I can't quite seem to make out the difference in realm choices, aside from a seemingly higher or lower XP rate while leveling.

Regardless, i'll probably figure things out as i go along. I look forward to start playing (currently waiting for installation).
If anyone is part of any PVE guild (in whichever server or faction) I would appreciate it, if you could have room for one more member :)

Welcome.

A lot of people prefer Icecrown and some (like me) prefer Lord , even if playing on both server.

Both server are active enough to always do instance.

Here my opinion and con about both server

Icecrown
Pro: Leveling very fast 7X
Cash shop
Lot of players , (more than twice than lord)
Normal Diffculty

Con: Toxic (there is a lot of toxicity there)
Noob (a lot of player seem clueless about how to play)
Queue (if you didnt put money , something it can take up to 10min to enter)
GS stupidly High to enter. The raid are normal difficulty , and people tend to ask way higher GS than Lord
Since people leveling fast , more a solo minded community


Lord:
Pro: No cash shop
Friendlier player base
Higher ratio of quality player
Easier to join raid
Less player are BIS, so your gear bring more pride.
Because of less players , and level slower , people thed to socialize more

Con: Leveling at normal paste 1X (personally i love it , but everyone is different)
Harder raid content
Pvp is VS blackrock and Icecrown (way easier for them to gear)
Lower player base


Both server are fun , it just depend what you are looking for.

I ended up making a character on the Lordaeron server. I'm glad that was the right choice from the get go for me (phew!). Already me some nice people to quest alongside with.

Thank you very much for the clarification regarding servers. It's nice that there is something for everybody. From what you describe, it seems that Lordaeron is the server for me :) I also enjoy the regular slow leveling and meeting people along the way.
