Pandaria MOP login issue

Downloaded MOP, have it in a folder titled 5.4.8

wow.exe launches just fine, when I try to login it says what I assume is the blizzard (not warmane error) "your account has to be converted to bnet"

I'm using my warmane id (not email) and password.
This is the content of the connection log:

So changing it from warmane.ru to warmane.com got rid of the connection error, but I'm still getting hung up on the "retrieving character list" page.
