Technical Stave of the Ancients quest

I am on the Stave of the Ancients quest, flew to Winterspring to kill 1st Mob Artorius, killed him on my 5th or 6th attempt and the corpse had no loot? And now the mob respawned and doesnt turn from tauren form to demon form!!!! I don't know what to do please help!

This is also happening to me. I've killed him 4 times and each time I am unable to loot him. Very frustrating since this is the very last quest item I need for the bow. Hoping we will be credited for the kill/head loot because I don't want to attempt this fight anymore after several hours and multiple successful kills with no reward.
Wasted a lot of gold on arrows, consumables, repairs, etc as well.
Had no issues with any of the other demons and no problems looting any other mob - this is only happening with Artorius.

Solenor is bugged and does 500 dmg in melee range from his fire shield. if you look at simple google searches of videos from other pservers, he does not do this, and doesn't melee hit for much damage. it is his aoe fear that does most dmg.

in the current bugged state, solenor is undefeatable as anytime you get into melee range to do wing clip, causing him to immobilzie for 15 sec, you will get 2-4 shotted. on top of the scarab zerg. he also casts "fool's plight" at random times thus 1 shotting you, which only supposed to happen if a third party, including hunter pet, aggros.

i am on onyxia, and using a fully kitted R14 hunter and still cannot deal enough dmg in the allotted time.

they fixed the issue with the loot drops but most of the demons mechanics are still bugged making Solenor almost unkillable :S
