What steps to follow to get a fast leveling up

Do quests really fast?

Do quests - queue RDF on occasion - more quests - more RDF - repeat till 80. I'd stop doing RDF after hitting 70 or so, unless you have quests to instances.

Heavily ganked zones - roll a die or avoid.
1-58: Stranglethorn Vale, Tanaris, Un'goro
58-68: Hellfire Peninsula (good rewards & quests, some ganking may happen), Nagrand (at least near arena)
68-80: Borean Tundra (same as Hellfire Peninsula), Zul'Drak (near arena), Sholazar Basin (absolutely don't enter it, avoid it like a plague).
Icecrown/Storm Peaks may have some PvP altercations, but that's bit unavoidable as they are popular farm areas, and last leveling zones. You can level to 80 outside of Icecrown and Storm Peaks if it comes to that.

There's pvp in all almost-80 zones. I usually do Howling Fjord -> Grizzly Hills but then you reach Zul'Drak and you are liable to get ganked.
