    Banned for not Ninja looting...

Got banned for need looting one item in an entire dungeon...

This is ridiculous. I passed on every item, but one, and was reported by some tool. Apparently, the report was successful, which goes to show how bad this system is.

    This needs fixed immediately.

Oh, I forgot to mention. This same genius joined another dungeon I was in, reported me upon seeing I was in it, and then left.

If spam reporting is allowed like this, warmane can count on me doing it, if this stands.

Reports are dealt with according to evidence on them. This means somebody took a screenshot when you rolled need on an item that wasn't an upgrade for your MS.

So, in other words, warmane allows people to troll, with extremely sketchy rules.
    Good to know.

Thanks for sharing how to do that to other people. Clearly it's a brilliant idea, and well handled.

It's also good to see warmane has rules against something they don't even know what it is.

It's what happens when you hire the lowest bidders.

So you did steal an item?

Not sure what you think "passing on every other item" influences here. You get banned for what you did against the rules, there's no tally of "if you pass X you can steal Y with no consequences."

No. I didn't steal anything. I passed on quite a few items. In fact, I had done so for quite a few dungeons.

You're the reason for these types of things to happen. Ninja looting is not taking a single item out of a half dozen dungeons.

Ninja Looting: A player who, when in a group, rolls "Need" on everything regardless of if he or she can use it.
A player who takes everything not nailed down in an instance without asking: chests, ores, skins, herbs, etc..

Weird, how no where is it listed a person who takes one item. Also, when there's a roll aspect to you, you can't really steal anything.

Maybe you should learn to read, before becoming a moderator. This is why I'm not surprised by this sort of dysfunction, in this place.

Your personal definition of "ninja," which funnily makes it so you're innocent, applies to your own private server. While playing here you do so according to our rules.

I don't agree with the ninja system in lower dungeons. I've run into so many players who are new and don't even know which items are good / bad for them. Seems like you should receive a message and a warning if you're being egregious or obviously doing it to screw others over. Items that are from regular / HC dungeons are nearly useless items as-well so I never understood the big stink about it. I understand stealing DBW ETC but whenever I see ninja loot bans I just laugh because it's still 5g.

If the items are nearly useless and 5 gold, don't steal them in the first place?

Most players get banned because they want to go as a Tank or Healer for fast queues and roll Need on DD items or similar scenarios ("I rolled Need because someone was Disenchanting," I rolled Need because no one else did"... or this novel one "I passed on other stuff so I can roll Need because I say so"...). The amount who seriously just didn't know what they were doing gear-wise is likely a tiny slice and much more common in Raids and leaders who want to take matters into their own hands instead of respecting the rules they set and who won rolls.

What about new players who just don't know the item isn't good for them? Or they just want the item because they think it helps them? Does Warmane take into account the age of the account creation?

  12. June 3, 2024
Of course not. Account creation date says nothing about experience playing the game and anyone can lie about being ignorant.

"Account creation date says nothing about experience playing the game and anyone can lie about being ignorant."

It does. I have been playing for years and lots of new players don't know what items are good for them or not good for them. I just think a warning would be nice specially for items that don't matter like RDF items.

Imagine giving a warning to a bunch of players that are new, there would be a bunch of stolen items.

RDF items don't matter? Then why the hell are players joining RDF? To gear up... When you want to play an online game, first you should read the rules or a guide on how to play it, not to learn by making mistakes all the time and ruining other players' experience.

It takes more time to warn them than to ban them? Most people do RDF for emblems not gear also.
