Sporadic Player who is tired with Blizzard

Hey everyone,

I'm from Germany. I've started playing WOW at the end of BC, played quite a lot during WotlK and then less and less.
Over the years I kept coming back every now and then with the most engagement during Legion.
But with every expansion the game seemed to change more into something that was unrecognizable for me.
I have dabbled a bit with Classic era and was shocked when I locked into retail and saw the user interface.
But now Blizzard has decided that they want to change Classic as well, so I'm kinda at a point where I really don't see any reason why I should give them any money ever again.

I'm looking to pretty much recreate my experience from back in the day. So I want to play WotlK. I just want to quest a bit, on and off. (no XP Bonus except for the regular rest bonus) I'm no raider or PVPler. If I can get some dungeons done during the leveling thats great but ultimately for me personally WoW is more of a Solo experience with some interaction here and there. I have joined leveling guilds in the past. I hope that that is ok for everyone :-)

So I'm new to private servers. Is what I have in mind in line with these servers? Is there a step by step guide on how to get everything up and running?

Hi and welcome to Warmane,

Your desired gameplay as you describe it is definitely possible here.
There's plently of things to do solo, but also always plently of people available should u want to do group content.

In terms of getting things running, all you have to do is download a 3.3.5 client and make sure your realmlist is set to warmane.
