WotLK how does Authenticator in the loggin screen works?

Hi, ive triying to log in the game, dont play since pandemic times (about 2021). So now theres is this new authenticator code i found when downloaded the game. The first time it "disconects me from the server" the 2nd try request a code...

i wasnt recieving any email code, so i downloaded de google app, switched the Google autenticator code, registered the warmane with no problems, yet the codes that my phone display aint working, what do i do wrong? and i get is for security but why so many issues just to enter the game?

The code sent only lasts for about 30 seconds, I heard a rumor that, that's why Gmail is required since emails allways gets recieved instantly apart from some other mail companies.

Hi there, I have the same problem here, I switched to a new location and I am unable to use auth code sent by email. Also I am unable to register any google authenticator since the QR code is not shown and using the key provided it does not work.
This is really frustrating
Can someone help with this issue ?

Managed to set up the google authenticator but I have the same behavior as email auth code.
I enter my username, password and google authenticator code, login gets accepted but then I get disconnected from the server.
