Please study tbc classic pvp problems so we can get a better experience here.
I would like to discuss pvp perks for ony tbc here all welcome.
Here will be my 20cents.
Honor:
Since realm is gonna be x5 I think we should set a honor/marks modifier.
-Honor x2 or x3 to match server rates
-If marks are going to be a thing adjust them too some bgs can be hard to find sometimes
In tbc classic gearing up was a endless nightmare where alt was not an option, due to the low honor points awarded a win could award like 100 honor points sometimes.
Also the marks where crap if you were in the loosing faction awarding you just 1 mark per battle.
I played horde there and you had to wait for 1 hour before a bg and if you lose it... imagine... not even 50 honor points per 30min...
Since ally got fast queues they started gearing up so fast that horde had to wait 1 hour just to lose.
Here we have mercenary mode so some problems could be solved but:
Marks will be a thing?
Honor rate will be x1?
Arena:
Could we add some catch up mechanic so there is more players in arena?
-Arena catch up mechanic leting you cap more if you start late or arena costs reduced mid season or something similar so ppl dont get discouraged to play if they start late or its an alter.
-I feel something like this is every day more needed, arena skillfloor is too high for new players nowadays they competing with +10year xped players we need to grab more casual players to arena scene in order to give them chance to learn and make arena more alive. Most pvers rn just hate pvpers and arena cause they have been obliterated several times already.
-Some gold or emblems reward(quest maybe) for doing at least weekly cap the same way rdf has extra rewards for pve players could be good, this will atract pve players a little more. I also think its pretty unfair pvp players have to farm pve while pve players can just avoid pvp and get full bis, this could balance the game a little.
So you want people to be given charity gear because others are better at PVP. Maybe this isn't the game for you. Also it's literally impossible for one faction to have "fast queues" and the other not.

Im totally agree with you, and this is a current problem at Icecrown also with starter Trashrock full relentless people ruining IC starters gearing up.
They will say they have nothing what you cant get (with months of playing : D). Staying at the point PvP is way to elitist here, meanwhile the most fun part is to have casuals around, also having fun, not always with S+ tier comps. Ofc ik they dont care about PvP at all but still with these amount of players, letting PvP rot and be like "idgaf" is easily questionable, and do not come with the PvP "events" we currently have lol :D.
More casual players should join arenas also, but the PvP here is elitist. Gm-s have no goal with PvP at all and we need to accept it.

They are "better. Well dunno, the expacs are old, they are here since years, so they had time to get the experience. Being player friendly is a thing to attract more ppl to PvP.
BTW catch up mechanics is not charity gear. Charity gear is like getting free PvP gear from a vendor.
Wow classic have some problems due to his age in PvP, out of already stated ones I can list a few:
-Teams: teams are mostly a problem, originally they could help to make partners stick together, but nowadays people come and left so fast its easy to find people who is stuck in a team due to already having rating and cant play with others after his teamate left the game etc. old mechanic non present in any other game nowadays.
-Arena points: If you dont start playing since day 1 season is mostly over for you (already explained in this topic)
-Skillevel of old players (already explained)
-Hate of pvers to pvp due to the years of obliterating
-No incentives for pve players to do pvp, this should be balanced but well we know its probably a lost cause
-Need of pvp players to do pve to keep being competitive
Some of this problems are easy fixeables
-Personal rating
-Any catchp mechanic
-Any reward who makes new players try pvp like pve rewards gold/emblems
-This will make more casuals join pvp and less barrier for new palyers snowball effect
-Any reward who makes new players try pvp like pve rewards gold/emblems ++++
-Add more pvp gear with more stat variety to arena and honor gear?
Well at least some are easy to do... not all I listed of course, but can we have a non toxic debate here?
