WotLK Unable to connect to server

When I try to log in it shows me connecting windows and after few seconds it shows me the default unable to connect. First time happening, are servers down or what? Any help is welcomed, thanks

"Unable to connect" is the error I've been getting. My buddy was logged in and playing (same wifi connection, same room) just fine but I wasn't able to log in. He tried an experiment and logged out and tried to log back in, but now isn't able to ether. It might also be affecting the mouseover tooltips in the shop because he got a "no response" tooltip returned when he tried to mouseover an item in the warmane shop.
I suspect a DDoS attack, but I'm hoping a member of staff will confirm it for us.

It's very likely DDoS....
