1. Pushback

Apparently the "internet" doesn't seem to have an answer to this rather simple question: Do Halion and Sindragosa have abilities that cause pushback? For instance Halion's Dusk Shround is flagged as not causing pushback. The information on Sindragosa's Frost Aura is inconclusive though.

Some years ago someone wrote an addon to count pushbacks, but it got lost in time. Skada doesn't count it either.

And yes, there are talents to prevent pushback, but the idea is to create a specific spec for these two encounters that tries to save exactly these points.

  2. I wouldn't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure pushback happens whenever you take damage and don't have 100% pushback reduction which includes concentration aura in the raid.

  3. The thing is that nobody probably ever tried it out in practice, because we all somewhat blindly put points pushback-resistance. There is an old guide on Elististjerks where they skip it though, because they argue that pushback isn't that big of a deal though: http://elitistjerks.com/f47/t24796-shaman_restoration/

This is my favorite build for now. It has everything a resto shaman could want, except Healing Focus, which when coupled with a Paladin's Concentration aura, means you never have to worry about spell push back. However, this is rarely a factor in most fights. In addition, you can achieve 100% spell pushback by placing your Earth Shield on yourself and having a paladin with Concentration aura. The fights in which there is notable spell pushback are listed below:

    Algalon from the Constellations
