I've been playing on Onyxia. I'm leveling my first character. I made my way to STV only to be gang ganked over and over by 20 people half of which where 60. Now my character is stuck. I can't do anything. I like pvp, but not done in this way. It's the difference between fun pvp and toxic pvp. I finally did get into a one on one fight with someone my own level. Then a 60 came over and started watching and once I got the upper hand the 60 killed me. It's frustrating and makes people want to quit. Then the population goes down on your server. So, yeah, forget it.
STV is toxic by default. Mostly I avoid it just because of this experience you are describing. Just unstuck your character from the website and try new zone. You have plenty of options:
- Thousand Needless
- Arathi Highlands
- Desolace
- Badlands
- Dustwallow Marsh
and don't forget queueing for random dungeon finder. Once you hit 40 u can continue your journey to Tanaris or Feralas or Felwood or god knows where :D
My suggestion, just avoid this pvp hot spots and enjoy the game. The fun is not even started yet :P

In my opinion your crying too much... My father recently tried wow for first time and lvled a paladin in stv with 0 problems, they killed him few times ofc but a 62 years old found no problems on being killed, he is a legit backpedaler. Now he is 60 and we have a day scheduled for his revenge. Just change your mindset.
And like others said if some ppl killing u is too much just swich zone to a most peaceful one. Wich class u playing?
If u playing hunter watch out map with track humanoids, any other you need to watch out your sorroundings before start fighting a moob. Rogue/druid can go invi and avoid pvp forever, pala can divine shield and run or heart... mage you can always run... Do not pretend not being ganked if ur semi afk.
