People are being randomly banned for "Racism"...randomly.
I pointed out that the admins were throwing the ban hammer around, wildly. I did this without ever saying anything about race, because a lot of people were being banned for "racism".
I'm now banned for about 36 hours for doing nothing wrong. If you want to ban for racism, fine! I never did anything of the sort. Who did you recently hire? I logged on and people left and right were being for banned for "racism". I help a guy do Hogger, and a few minutes later I am banned for "racism".
What is this? Information would be great. There's no targeted message or anything.
Warmane is better than this; I've been on this server (or one of the servers) for YEARS, what is this?
I don't know if it's justified in your case but I think it's a good thing that they take actions against toxic ppl.
I don't wanna play on a server where it's fine to constantly say the n word or make anti Semitic jokes. I'd ban these ppl straight away with a zero tolerance policy.
I understand that, but they've started hitting friendly fire. It's an AoE ban. That's the problem.
It's clear they have someone new on staff. It's just a shame.
To get racism ban, there needs to be evidence. The evidence being picture(s)/video(s). Mind you, once reported, it may take 1-3 days to get the ban. So it's not like you were necessarily doing something racist while helping a guy with Hogger. You said something in racist tone between Monday and Wednesday. In the case you were joking about something, a racist joke is still racist.
I appreciate the breakdown, but "You won't see the evidence" is a bit self-defeating, no? If someone doesn't know what they did wrong, how are they to ever fix it? This sounds like tyranny.
Again, it's obvious someone new is on the team, and they're angry about something. I run constant free runs in Stocks, I'm not a troll, but someone doesn't like the way I look or talk. Shame, really.
It's a free server, I know I'm not owed anything, but in the same way, you shouldn't hire admins with a chip on their shoulder.
