Forum Account has been suspended due to Inappropriate name?

Hello. Just wanted to check if this is normal practice to suspend accounts for inappropriate name? I was using same nickname on few realms for so many years without any problems and now without any warnings receiving account suspension.
Isn't just tagging for name change enough?
Anyone else ever received suspension like that?

Yes, you aren't unique, others have been banned for that. There are different degrees of "inappropriate," not all will just get a forced rename.
For example, if the name was something racist, concealed or not, it shouldn't be surprising.

It is weird though that after this many years of using this nick received suspension just now. Feels unreasonably hard punishment.
By the way, since I have more than one character with same nickname on different realms, do all of them get tagged or just one?

Why would it feel weird? The game has a filter on character creation, but it isn't all-covering, especially when it comes to regional insults and slurs. Players also love thinking they are smart with "creative writing," like switching letters. Lastly, despite having GMs from various nationalities, our Staff isn't going to be aware of every single hidden insult out there, so it might take other players pointing it out. One way or another, sooner or later the punishment comes.

It's the name that is inappropriate, not the specific character. If only one got tagged, you should see about getting them all renamed anyway.

I dunno if people should really count on a "free rename" when their offensive "funny" name gets caught and reported.

Trust me, as a grown man I don't cry for such things, just trying to solve problem and get tag on both of my characters with same nick to avoid same problems in the future and not offend kids. While you are suggesting some corrupt nonsense.

You decided to name your characters with offensive enough names that the staff member who reviewed the evidence chose to skip the rename process and straight up ban you. First time I hear that happening.

What are you even talking about :D You offered to not make free renames in such cases, which is complete nonsense if you think about it, but looks like thinking is not for you. That's first, and second, I just want to figure out about my second character with same nickname. Comprende?

As Obnoxious already said, there are different degrees of inappropriate names. Yours was from the far end with no chance for a rename, and you're already banned for it. Whether thinking is for me or not, is irrelevant. It's your name that got you banned, not mine.

Rename your other inappropriately named character(s), unless you want to be repeat offender and rack up those bans. Capiche?
