I’m writing this to address a frustrating experience regarding a recent ban I received for "disrupting gameplay." The situation seems unfair and unwarranted, and I’d like to explain what happened for context.
Initially, I joined a Shadow Labs group with the intention of running the dungeon. Shortly after, my guildmates informed me they urgently needed my assistance. Respectfully, I informed the group that I needed to leave and suggested they find a replacement. At no point did I act maliciously or disrupt anyone’s gameplay.
Now, I find myself banned, while others who have engaged in far worse behavior—racist remarks or even botting—appear to receive lighter penalties like a one-day ban. This feels incredibly inconsistent and unjust, especially since my actions were not meant to harm or disrupt anyone’s gaming experience.
I kindly request a review of this situation and clarification on how these decisions are made. It’s disheartening to see that an entire guild reporting someone for what seems like retaliation can result in such a severe action. I’ve always enjoyed being part of this community, but situations like this make it difficult to feel that the rules are being applied fairly and consistently.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I hope this can be resolved promptly.
That ban is given when someone refuses to leave the group on their own and take the debuff that comes with that, demanding that the group kicks them out so they have no penalty. No one will review anything because of a Forum post either, make a proper appeal.
Disrupting gameplay: Using minor exploits or poorly designed parts of game mechanics to noticably interfere with other players' gameplay. Examples of such are: Resetting NPCs while other players joust with them on Argent Tournament and joining RDF only to idle and refuse to leave on your own to avoid the debuff.
General reminder, what you were doing just before getting banned may not be related to the ban at all. Bans happen usually 1-3 days after the incident. If you left the dungeon without going AFK or demanding to be kicked, that's not what got you banned.
