Burning Crusade Loosing reagents with trade - third time already

Hello everyone,
I'm posting on the forum to keep a record and to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

I'm an enchanter and I've been enchanting quite a bit lately in Stormwind. However, recently, during an enchantment, someone only gave me part of the materials required. I asked for the rest in order to proceed, but they insisted they had given me everything. Yet, I didn’t receive anything in my bags, and they no longer had the materials either.

I even got on voice chat with a third person to talk it through. We shared screens and confirmed that neither of us had the missing components.

This has happened three times this week. Do you think it’s a server bug, or could my account be compromised?

I’d really hate to get banned over something like this, especially since on the other person’s side, the trade appears to have gone through. It makes me look like a scammer, even though I can’t predict that this bug will happen.

bruh, you are being taken for a ride. Take a screenshot with every trade, or at least make sure amounts in trade are correct.
Even better, buy reagents and some Vellums, post your enchants on AH, skip all the shenanigans.

If you have materials to do the enchants yourself, do it on a vellum, if they trade all the materials and enchanting fee of course, hand in the vellum. Once they become available in WotLK that is..

If this is frequent occurrence, start taking videos when trade is going with ALL bags open (or enchanting window with the enchant that they want open). Cheap trick to see if you ever got materials. If they try to scam you, they wouldn't report. In the case something really went wrong and nobody received anything despite trade was complete, which I think isn't even a thing, you'd have the video evidence showing you didn't receive anything either.

No, there is really a bug. I tried with a friend to spam trade and sometimes it appears for one and not for the other. And how can i screen if there isn't the trade tab opening for me ??

If there is no trade window, how can you press Trade button?
Basically when someone trades you materials for enchant and his side goes green, you take a screenshot before you accept. So you can check screenshot to see how many materials he traded.

Also, it could be just a part of trading, as I recall, I lost about 5% of volume on scammers(changes amount after both sides go green), not to mention all the crooks changing amount hoping I wouldnt notice and accept the trade. This kind of thing may as well be just a dimension of trading you have no choice but to live with.

That's the point. I didn’t click on trade, but the exchange still went through on his side, not on mine. He lost his materials, and I didn’t receive anything.

So he opened trade, put in his stuff, pressed ok and trade completed without you pressing ok?
Open a bugreport for sure, especially if you found out how to replicate.

Just don't forget the evidence, like a video of what you're describe actually happening.
Simply saying it happened, especially on something this bizarre, this "trade initiated and completed by only one side without the other ever confirming," doubtfully will be enough.
