1. Reserving loot in PUGs

Can we talk about the culture in where it is completely normalized to start a raid and immediately say "[BiS for my class] res". Whenever I criticize this in game, the kids get annoyed and say I should start my own raid. Don't cite the the deep magic to me, witch. I was a raid leader in actual WotlK and maybe it's rose-tinted goggles but I just feel like people back then didn't reserve whatever they wanted because it was convenient.

I can KIND OF understand the nonsense spam about achievements and gs, due to the fact that many people suck and still stand in the fire, but I don't like it. Fair enough, I'll accept gear score spam. But demanding high gs + achievement AND reserving loot for yourself? Jesus christ on a motorbike the hubris. You expect a full raid to come help you, while you casually sit back and guarantee loot for yourself should it drop? Grow up.

Please don't join these raids. I urge you to shun this behavior and start embracing the genuine WoW experience. We can do better than this.

  2. So... you got annoyed and came to the Forum to say people shouldn't join the available raids...
Are you going to be the one allowing those people to embrace the genuine WoW experience... by starting your own raids, then? You wouldn't be telling people to do something and expecting them to create raids for you to join, I'm certain.

  3. Iam one of PUG raid leaders who resserve BOEs, Primos, Orbs, + 1 ITEM for myself and i will tell you why Iam doing it. I spend my time to create raid, find 25 people, check their gear/gems/enchants/achiev, assemble group, set roles, make raid calls and also iam responsible for loot distribution, finding replacments etc, etc. Meanwhile players like you join raid, miss 2 Ready check for AFK cos watching youtube, then you raid have fun without any responsibility. Its very time/nerves consuming to make pugs so thats why iam resserving it. If you dont like it make your own raids with nothing ress. I dont see any problem.

  4. All right, I'll join your raids where nothing is reserved. However, I can already tell it will go down the drain faster than your self awareness did.

Spamming in caps about GS and inviting people does not really constitute that big of a reward. As I said, I led many raids both in guild and PUGs back in the glory days. Also also, these raid leaders do fudge up quite a bit. There is little to no responsibility outside of their own loot. A few days a raid leader claimed he'd given me item I won by roll, which of ocurse he never did. Someone else traded him and he clearly couldn't care less. Most also just use master loot for their drops, while letting everythign else go to rolls. And this is typically prison rules, completely law of the jungle. But thank god we gave the caps-spamming leader his loot, so we'd have to open ticket to Warmane staff when others ninja-roll on items anyway.

In my experience the raid leaders are not good enough to warrant that kind of reserved loot. This week another one ragequit after one wipe when the main tank fudged up. Sorry not sorry but you (as a group) are not that special. When I raid lead, I do it properly.

  6. You need to file your complaint with Raid Leader Union, request history of those specific raid leaders and explanation on how dare they lead raids that don't go well.

    P.S
Also ask them to refund hours of your life you spent on those ****ty raids.

Also dislike item reservation, but indeed, dealing with bunch of randoms needs a LOT of patience, because of leavers and lazy people raid start can take even 2 hours, reserving some items is a must to compensate lost nerves.

Being raid leader on global and here are like two other worlds, people on global were more dedicated, here a lot of people can leave just in middle of fight without any reason, can troll whole raid with pull+hs and plenty of other "tricks".

This is probably the most valid response. If an Icc25H 8/12 run takes 2-3 hours to clear, it probably took 1-2 hours to form from when the RL started spamming. If you value your time, you reserve items. Most people just join raids where the reserved item isn't among your needed gear.

TLDR: Agreed, either join up and accept the terms or form your own group with your own rules.

  9. The larger problem is that it's becoming common practice for raid leaders to 'DC' when handing out loot at the end of the raid. While I understand holding items so people don't QQ over lost rolls or leave when they get their item, it's becoming way too common for the lead to vanish while holding loot. And Warmane makes it too difficult to report them unless you have a 3 hour long video recording software of your gameplay.

On this, I would vote that warmane up the ante on ninjaes where they are 100% sure from the report that the individual ninjaed an item, and hand them an IP ban.
