WotLK Blackrock PvP arena question-forfeiting

I play Blackrock for pvp, battlegrounds mostly, never been a fan of arena. Would it be against rules to forfeit games for points?

I've not done it yet, just wanna see if it is against rules or not so I know if I can or cannot try it.

Kind of a stupid question, seems really exploitive and problem causing.

Why not try to win? The matches are typically short if you play aggressively.

I did, went 1-9 on TBC servers. Plus it's harder to find a partner when you aren't good.

Losing a match on purpose could be interpreted as wintrading which is bannable.
