1. Dungeons damage

    Are dungeons more difficult on this server? I waited 1 hour for RDF yesterday got queued into helfire ramparts as lvl 60 and had paladin tank who had crazy lvl 60 gear epic/rare and close to 7k hp with buffs and was getting obliterated by pack of 3 mobs constantly healer literaly struggled to heal spamming heals if he pulled more than 3 mobs and we wiped 5 times before first boss and they left afterwards time wasted. Now when i watch videos from 3 years ago on youtube from official TBC people are steamrolling helfire ramparts and even classes like rogue are getting hit for like 150 dmg with melee like on this random vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bztX7f-AqO8 and its just easy. Throughout the whole leveling experience its the same **** on every level people die in these dungeons to crazy damage and they just quit and you waste hours of time for nothing. Rogue on the video is getting legit hit for 120-150 dmg noncrit. So to make sure im not just making things up i just tested it on my 61 lvl druid with buffs and i get hit for 500 dmg noncrit from literaly same mobs in cat form. In bear for with 7k armor i get hit for 200-300 dmg so what the **** is going on here. Its just awful how every dungeon takes an hour to clear as a result of this and 50% of time you dont even finish it because people leave after 30 minutes and 2-3 wipes. Literaly dog**** experience.

  2. Its tbc, apply CC on trouble mobs, if you wanna 'cleave' your way through you might need to kite the mobs around a hunter trap, its only hard if you try to play it like its a wotkl dungeon.
    As for the classictbc some of the content there was somewhat undertuned.

    The video is literaly TBC done by blizzard. You realize random people in RDF mostly dont even know how to properly move that is why they are dying on 3 mobs and have to drink literaly after every pull. 3 mobs here hit for 1500 on swing timer on the video i linked they hit all together for like 500 per swing timer thats massive difference. And its not just TBC you go razorfen downs dungeon its literaly notorious for groups just leaving because mobs hit for like 200 on tank when tank on that level has 1800 hp or so there is social agro on 3-4 mobs in the beginning thats 800 dmg per swing and groups just wipe. Its definitely not how it was on TBC done by blizzard. And that one is official.

    i legit wont because i dont have that much time and i spent hours waiting for queue througout leveling and yesterday experience after countless others just made me not want to play the game at all. Ill just wait for wotlk. I would have to go through dungeons anyway to get the gear so i just cba i dont have patience... people just leave dungeons all the time because they are getting hit in a way they either die or pull very slowly and dungeons take an hour or disband half way through.

    Welcome to the real TBC. TBC classic is just a toned down version.

    Dungeons need to take a diffrent approach than WOTLK TACTIC TANK GOES LEROY JENKINS AND REST JUST AOE.. THe require a diffrent approach which is you need to use CC, stuns, slows, snares, all that kind of stuff.

    Well if you are giving up and complain at forums just after one hellfire ramparts normal, then you definitely should just wait for wotlk. Well normal dungeons get a bit easier once you get that gear and normal dungon gear from high level tbc dungeons like shattered halls or shadow labirynth is enough to go to raids and unironically t4 raids are quite easy. Karahzan attument is done by doing normal mode dungeons.

    The real deal are heroics, where you need a specific comp to get through some heroics. And wait, there is more. You will have to do some heroics in order to get attunments for T5 SSC is quite easy because you just need to reach questgiver at SP hero (SP hero is considered as one of easiest heroics), get quest, get items from nightbane and grull, and you have attu to SSC. And there is the EYE, if you think Hellfire ramparts normal is hard then you didnt experienced the real hard. What we have here, doing shattered halls hero but with time limit, doing arca hero (Arca in normal mode is already hard) and making sure that npc you free during final boss ecounter wont die(getting here is the hard part, meanwhile final boss ecounter is quite easy because that NPC helps you a lot during fight), there is also SHadow Labirynth heroic (Murmur on HC will definitely test your party's knowledge about class abilities) and Steamvault heroics (Where getting through first boss is an RNG hell).

    First video you posted was a High Warlord kitted rogue with 1k armor above average. The damage you stated was from a Ravener. Later in the video he was hit for 600 by an executioner. That doesn't support your argument.

    Second video shows a moonkin with higher armor contribution from items. Also doesn't help.

    A 7k hp tank isn't crazy geared. Most level 60 epics/rares were outdated on TBC launch. You stated 200-300 in bear form and that's very healable. Just doing the math if you have a 27k mob health pool and say 700 dps for that level it's a 38 second fight duration. Each mob would die after 12.6 seconds so with no CC and say each mob does 250 damage on a 2 second swing timer then your total potential damage would be 9450. That would be easy to heal. That isn't entirely accurate because mobs differ, but in my experience in Ramparts it isn't terribly far off. A tank popping cooldowns could survive a lot of pulls without heals in Ramparts if you actually had good players.

    Now if you had a trash group that did poor dps, players pulling aggro, a tank taking heavy blows, players getting cleaves and multi-shot from mobs, pulling extra mobs, mobs enraging, healers overhealing or mana dumping with bad abilities, getting mana burned, no dispels etc. etc. etc. then yes you would struggle. And it sounds to me like you had a bad group with one of the above issues. And that is indeed a risk with using the RDF system.

  14. I've noticed a lot of Warr tanks not using key abilities like Cleave and Shield Block. Some of them have Naxx gear. Not sure if they shopped it or what. Anyway I am enjoying the dungeons, I do think it's a littelr strange that Kara is nerfed and dungeons weren't, but it's a fairly enjoyable balance imo.
