That's not a bot. That is multiboxing and it's allowed.

I understand that it is allowed to have multiple accounts connected at the same time. But if it does exactly what the first one does, isn't that being a bot? I'm confused.

The characters are tethered together and the player has to coordinate them. They aren't running around the game world playing on their own like a bot.

I find it hard to see how he can coordinate 5 characters at the same time without some additional tool (bot) that replicates everything from one character to the others.
But well if you allow it like that, nothing can be done, they take advantage of the others.

The input is duplicated to the other characters and that's as close to botting as it gets. They still aren't autonomously roaming the world, operating while the owner is AFK or making any sort of automated decisions. The other 4 characters are best compared to an incompetent firing squad.

It basically is botting and thats why blizzard banned it. It doesn't make sense why they ban some things on here or change things that they didnt back in original tbc like the Dreadbeasts in Kara not being enslaveable because blizz changed it in cata yet for some reason will allow botting because blizz allowed it back then even though blizz finally got a clue and banned mutliboxing because they saw how toxic it was and how its basically cheating. And blizz also gained WAYYYYYY more from botting $ wise since you had to actually pay for those accounts while on here you can do it for free. Makes no sense man but it is what it is. It's their server and they can run it however they see fit. I am just happy to have a tbc server atm with a high population. Gotta look at the glass half full sometimes.
