WotLK Alts not visible in character choice menu

Hi,

I just logged in after maybe a year of inactivity. My character list was empty on Lordearon. However the realm selection menu showed that I had 6 characters there (which was the right number as far as I can remember).

I created a new alt then logged off. After logging back in I can see that new alt but still none of my old ones. The realm selection menu now shows that I only have that 1 character on Lordaeron (instead of saying that I now have 7 characters).

Is there any chance that my old alts could be restored, please?
