1. Tempest Keep Trash Loot

Has anyone actually gotten a Trash Loot drop from Tempest Keep so Far? And I'm not talking about the recipes, but the actual items themselves.
So far i've been running TK 3 times a week on different characters and I haven't seen a single trash item so far. I know it's been reported on the bugtracker already and the report got dismissed saying that they DO drop. I'd just like to hear you guys opinion on it. Either the drop% is straight up wrong, or something is up.

  2. Cleared TK every ID since release, no items.

  3. I've done TK multiple times a week since release, and i saw the fire dmg caster belt drop 1(one) time on a pug. But still the %drop seems to be absurdly low.

  4. My guild (Brain Required) clears TK every week, full 4/4 on each ID, and so far we haven’t had a single item drop—only recipes.

  5. Full clear each week. Not a single trash epic.
SSC we got 4 epics. 1x staff, 1x plate healing, 2x spyglass

  6. Same here. I found some videos of high level trash farms. I think the drop rate should be the same though.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EshLf6zgWBQ

First video shows ring, shoulders and bracer drop. Second video shows belt and bracer drop. Each get 2-3 recipe drops. And not very many nether vortexes.

I've seen the items in game, but for sure the drop rate is way too low.

  7. When you get SWp gear you will see first drop , so be patient.

  8. Here are a couple more random videos I picked from TBC Classic. Same thing a couple recipe drops and they are getting the trash drops.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn8HkbtgT4Y
    At 1:41 they get bracers.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HgJIJUaFkk
At 1:56, 1:58 and 2:00. They get two rings in a row and a belt.

Look through any guild raid video and consistently you're seeing at least one drop and many times multiple. Makes no sense we go weeks without seeing anything.

Warmane is emulating the original version, NOT classic.

For example Mantle of the Elven Kings on Bloodwarder Squire is 3% on classic, on OG its 0.4%
    Trash loots works perfectly.

That's a neat point. Doesn't really debunk the discussion though.

Keep in mind you're killing 175 trash mobs in TK. You have six zone drops and let's say they average 0.4% drop rate each. You see the problem? Probability says you have a high chance of seeing at least one per raid. SSC zone drops and patterns are similar drop rates yet they're dropping consistently. Players aren't seeing TK zone drops for weeks or at all. The developer stated in bug tracker that zone drops are at 1%. Mathematically that's definitely not happening. It would make sense if you didn't see one of them not dropping for a while, but all six?

The previous videos I linked are of retail farms. They drop as expected. Unless they changed drop chance after TBC I don't know. Like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pi3KlLs8RA clearly shows three zone drops and that's pre-classic.

  11. I took 5 minutes to just copy the Tempest Keep zone Trash Loot drop counts, plop it into a spreadsheet and convert them into percentages. This is what I got:

    https://lite.framacalc.org/f616qazvrk-aduf.html

Note the drops only come from 20 types of mostly Humanoid mobs + Phoenix Hawks + Mechanicals, so definitely not all mobs in Tempest Keep. This means it is possible the percentage is really set to only 1%, if these mobs are low enough in number.

However, it is very clear from the Wowhead data that from 7000-8000 samples, that the percentage should be closer to 2% than 1%.

This is not even considering the fact that we are on accelerated timeline, so looting rates specifically targeting the next progression tier (and at least some of these trash drops are so good they are Best In Slot) should likely have been already adjusted higher to compensate for the time compression between tiers.
