1. Suggestion: Race Ability swap

I have a simple but nice suggestion:

Can you bring the possibility, to swap the racial abilitys?

So you can play your favourite racial but arent locked to their abilitys?

Like for example: As Human Ret Paladin in arena, is the human ability for ret in arena not even closed so effiecient, like the silence from bloodelf.

And maybe you can just swap it only every 2 weeks?

  2. This idea was disscused before by the staff actually they said that they are considering this feature. If i remember it was a few months ago. The people above
clearly have no idea about how importat racial are in pvp in tbc and ofc they wont impact the game in anyway, i have played on tbc servers that had this feature and it worked great and nobody complained.

  3. I would support this. Many private servers are doing this, and it's working fine. Having racials bound to the specific race just forces people to play a race they possibly dont like the looks or animations of.

Edit: Maybe it would be a good idea to make another poll about this?

  4. Unlikely to happen.

The only reason other servers do it is because they only have a fraction of the population of Warmane servers and they are permanent expansion servers. That means they have dificulty supporting a Blizzlike World of *Warcraft*, especially in TBC, and therefore implement crossfaction absolutely everywhere + racial swap as a natural extension towards the same healthy population goals.

Warmane servers, on the other hand, always have healthy pop, are PvP enabled, and progess into permanent WotLK where racial differences mean very little (excluding the weird Instant PvP funservers of Blackrock which have nothing to do with normal WoW).

The only reasons Warmane would in the end consider something like racial swap is either somehow their population tanked into couple of thousands or they moved to have permanent pre-WotLK servers or it is added as a strong shop feature.

    ...

Actually, nevermind, given the last reason, I'm shocked they haven't added it yet already!

Can you link this? The only time I'm aware of was discussed but not considered because it would undermine race selection.

  6. Too late anyway. Alliance is as dead as a doornail and no gimmick is gonna undo the skewed pop.

  7. .

If the pop was so healthy on wotlk then they wouldn‘t need forced mercenary mode to fill the Horde slots in BGs.
And racial difference means little on wotlk????
Did you check the arena ladder? The entire server plays human due to the overpowered racial. Wotlk has less race deversity than TBC.

Racial shift would be a good solution to overcome the EMFH racial issue that all the wotlk server are suffering from.

  8. Mod maybe mistook it as race swap instead of racial swap here (last comment): https://forum.warmane.com/showthread...ghlight=racial

If racial swapping is ever implemented imo it should be restricted to races that can already choose the class so you sort of keep the balance of the game, like you can't have a mage with orc racials but you can have a non-gnome mage with gnome racials.

People mostly just want it for competitive pve and pvp. Is being able to parse as Alliance on equal grounds as Horde in TBC such a bad thing? Or should the leaderboards just be dominated by the faction with the best racials because you're emulating an unbalanced game anyway? It would be a great feature in my opinion.

Yeah, that was probably a misunderstanding. I assumed that thread was referring to race change too.

  10. Mod maybe mistook it as race swap instead of racial swap here
Yes, back then I answered the thread as it being about Race Change, because Onyxia didn't have it active yet and there had been other posts asking about the same, if I recall (hence the "already said it will come," as we had already replied others that Onyxia would have it). Never had seen this here be called "Racial Shift" before.

If the pop was so healthy on wotlk then they wouldn‘t need forced mercenary mode to fill the Horde slots in BGs.
And racial difference means little on wotlk????
No one bases the health of the population on Battlegrounds attendance. Battlegrounds are a side-activity, it would be as absurd as basing it on Pet Battles.

  11. I want racial abilities to be swappable for onyxia. Racials matters too much for pve that choosing desired race would make a huge dps loss for hunters. Can even make it coin based.

  12. It would be a fantastic feature.

Can you link this? The only time I'm aware of was discussed but not considered because it would undermine race selection.
Broken racials undermine race selection far more. Entire guilds jumping ship and changing faction upon expansion update just to be able to compete with overpowered racials. It would only affect a small percentage of players who actually care about competing in pve/pvp, and like this they can do it while playing their actual desired race. Seeing guilds from both factions compete on equal footing for once would be a breath of fresh air in my opinion, especially since competitiveness in pve has gotten really popular in recent years, and balance in competitions is kinda important. Warmane does have a PVE leaderboard (which is dominated by a certain faction because of said overpowered racials) so you are actually acknowledging it's competitiveness.

  13. This is way too custom for it to have any chances of being implemented. And no amount of arguments in favor of it will change this fact.
