Was there a wipe between 2017 and to date on Lordaeron and Icecrown ? There are no characters when i log into the realms yet it says i have one in each.

Inactive characters below level 50 are gone. If they were above that level, then your account is most likely compromised.

Had a level 80 character were they "cleaned" too ?

Only a name would be removed in that instance.
If your last login was years ago, mainly before forced 2FA, it's likely somebody most likely had an access to your account and deleted characters after stealing all the goodies.

If it says i still have characters in the realms and they don't show up what happened and at this point is there anyway to recover them ?

The (1) is based on your local files (WOW/WTF/Account/ACCOUNTNAME/Realm/). If Warmane deletes your character as part of the inactivity cleanup, or another person does it from other PC, your local files aren't deleted. That's where the inaccuracy with that number comes from. Only if you delete a character yourself on that PC, the realmlist shows correct amount of characters.
Is there anything showing up on https://www.warmane.com/account/barracks ?
Characters deleted during cleanup: No recovery.
Characters deleted by a player: A recovery period is up to 30 days. Within 48 hours of deletion and once a week per account, the recovery can be done for free, after it costs coins to do so.Edited: September 21, 2025

plss, help me too !
I logged into my account after 9 months and my characters are simply gone! I have 4 characters. When you log in, you can see the number 4 in the selection bar on the Lordaeron server. The characters on the other servers, Icecrown and Onyxya, are fine! They're intact! Only the most important Lordaeron, T-T, is missing.
