1. Look how they massacred my boy

Alright, today we cleared SWP in about an hour without even breaking a sweat.
Is this what you all wanted? To shorten the fun of playing our favorite patch 2.4.3?
Is this some kind of mistake, or is it going to stay this way until WoTLK?

  2. I'm really curious if wotlk is goin to be the same!

  3. Wotlk will be exactly like Icecrown. Onyxia was never advertised as a "hard" realm like Lordaeron, it was always going to be tuned to original values.

Some liberties were taken with adding pre-nerf but we were clear that those are temporary

I was kind of hoping you guys would keep the values from frostmourne for the wotlk phase.

Warmane Patch Tuning – A Simple Proposal

I think there are three solid options:

    1. Use post-nerf Blizzlike values (like Icecrown)
    - Straightforward and consistent.
    - But let’s be honest, a lot of players aren’t happy with this approach.

    2. Start with pre-nerf values(frostmourne/lordaeron), then switch to post-nerf(icecrown) halfway through the patch
    - Gives players a chance to push progression early.
    - Later nerfs help casuals catch up and finish content.
    - Personally, I think this is the best middle ground.

    3. Add custom difficulty tiers (like 25-man Mythic/Ascended) with extra rewards
    - Could be awesome for hardcore players.
    - But it would take a lot of dev time and effort.

Option 2 feels like the most balanced and fair approach. Curious to hear what others think!

  6. I can only agree to the last message that was written here. I think making everything like Icecrown will take the fun of progression out of the raids. It was already visible how unhappy alot of the guilds with the swp nerfs were, even though they didn't even clear it 2-3 ID's in. Having the approach of leaving the content buffed for the first few weeks for guilds to progress and have a more competitive race just sounds more balanced and fun to me and the majority of the people i talked to about this topic. Maybe a Vote, just like the recipe-vote for T5 content would be a good idea ?

    Hello!

Players dont want Icecrown loot pinata raid values. Which difficulties are just as current tbc post nerfs, even some are easier.

It would be so good to have Frostmourne values.
Either it can last like 3weeks-1month,
Or it can stay during entire phase and when next phase arrives switch to post nerf for previous one. Like this phase 4 would kept Frostmourne values through whole Onyxia. Which would be awesome progression.

You can also do in game survey and ask playerbase, just to see what they would like to have.

    I mean... https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=469924

    "Raid bosses will be post-nerf."

  9. But in that post it says "tbc-content".
I know this could be more effort, but what is stopping you from doing a survey and checking what the playerbase actually wants?
The survey/vote for the Recipes in T5 also got alot of positive feedback, might be worth checking in again.

Because the last time we had TBC we made the mistake of having it too hard. Even so we tuned SWP to be pre-nerf and would have kept it that longer if we didnt see the exact same issue appear like on Outland: Only two guilds had cleared it when we checked at the start of october

  11. I think a lot of ex-Frostmourne players were hoping and expecting that the WotLK portion of Onyxia would be, in essence, Frostmourne Season 4. This will certainly be a disappointment to them.

However, I don't think the suggestion of starting with buffed values and nerfing to blizzlike values halfway through the tier is a very elegant solution. Consider this:

    - The feeling of suddenly being able to easily clear bosses that were previously a challenge is not always a welcome one. Some guilds would rather the devs not interfere with their progression by nerfing the content mid-way. This will continue to happen with Ulduar hardmodes, TOGC etc.

    - As far as "leaving the content buffed for guilds to progress" - progression as a concept is completely reset when the nerfs are implemented.

    - The RF race affects an infinitesimal percentage of the server population and no decisions on the difficulty of the server should be made based upon it. If anything, lesser difficulty opens the door for more guilds to go for it if they choose.

Nerfs should be used very sparingly if the general population is seen to be struggling. Better to just have 1 set of values from the start and have the chips fall where they may, whether it's easier or harder.

  12. As for wrath content its very likely going to be harder for a few weeks then nerfed back to stock values. I have nothing against that

  13. settle down dobbies, Staff did their job..which was announced at the beginning of TBC content.

    "Raid bosses will be post-nerf."

    have a nice day

  14. Most players complaining about nerfs and difficulty are from the top guilds. I know their names. Same conversation that happened here at the start of the expansion. They come here and throw a fit to try and mold a narrative. One that makes no sense after the difficulty was declared forever ago.

Their opinions are very biased. The bubble they play in doesn't reflect the average player experience at all. And you'll notice they only selfishly talk about their own game completely disregarding the other 90% of the player base struggling to clear the content.

Where are the other players? They're enjoying the game and have no reason to come here and complain. They saw the nerfs and probably thought awesome I get to go to sleep on time and spend more time with my family instead of wiping to a boss 58 times for 6 hours.
