WotLK Fire mage gearing doubt

Hey there.

I'm confusing about gearing my mage. Actually, may I continue completing the T9 set? Or the gear that I actually gear is better?

Idk if the set bonus is better...

Given your actual gear I would go :
Head + Chest + Hands + Legs T9
Shoulders offset
The 4p T9 is quite good, it gives 5%crit on fireball which represent about 50% of your dps at this level of gear (the fireballs I mean)

I was simulating both gears with https://www.wowsims.com/wotlk/mage/# and the difference wearing the 4/5 T9 parts was a little bit better.

But in general, it has lower iLvl and gearscore, so was confusing about that. Because all the raids asks for a higher GS to play it.

I will go for 4/5 but not chest, because I want to buy Merlin's Robe and actually I have the T9 pants. But I will do it. Thanks!
