WotLK PvP miserable IOC/AV battlegrounds

so every time i queue and it pops with AV/IOC, i immediately check if the you know who group is there, and insta leave if they are. why? well let me tell you:
AV:
they find the graveyard that we spawn in, and just spam farm HKs there until the BG ends.
IOC:
they let you push in, sometimes even open all 3 gates, and wait in boss room or farm you in GY. sometimes, they even bring the boss out to oneshot everyone.

now i could complain here, but i know it won't do anything.
my question is - what do they even gain?
what's the point at this point? i suppose they're the people with the most HKs in the game anyways, they have bis gear, all the gold they could want and all the honor they could get.
some of them don't even dismount - they just sit back and let their group farm the GY.
i'm not writing this from a place of anger (although it could get annoying, it's just not the headspace i'm at at the moment of writing this), what do they gain?
i can't imagine it's fun, sounds like even RDF would be more enjoyable since this GY farm isn't even interactive for them. the enemies don't move, and their team does AOE spells on the GY so some of them don't even need to dismount.
what's the point?

What they gain?
Honorable Kills > Rank on Armory > Sell High Rank Characters or simply flex.

Now the real deal.
Farm Honor > Get Gold > Sell Gold on Trade > Get Coins > Sell Coins > Get Real $$$$.
Is against the rules, but somehow nobody mentions this.

okay, so with the flex thing i don't understand it at all. it's like everyone has a bike and only you and your friend have lambos, and then you just compete who has more lambos. like who cares at this point.

the gold thing makes sense, it actually is the missing piece for me. i don't see any other reason for people to simply sit in mom's basement smoke cigarettes drink beer and afk on a mount for a full hour of AV. unless it's your day job - which based on what you said does make sense.
i'm not hopeful that it'll change, AV and IOC are not interactive BGs for a lot of players on this server due to this group, and i doubt it'll change since i assume they are also the largest spenders on this server.
but honestly? for this amount of money, and you probably either:
1. have not so many buyers
or
2. sell to your mates so they have bis characters so they farm gold to sell coins to you for your bis characters
just sounds stupid as ****. idk i'd rather get a job tbh.

The amount of honor you get from playing AV/IoC is absolutely pitiful. Nobody is doing it for the gold, let alone to make irl money.

When it logs AV, IOC... im insta leaving because i know it wouldn't be fun and it would be just big waste of time.
