WotLK Escape key issues to clear the target

Good evening!

When using the escape key to clear my target it opens up the game menu all the time!
Can someone fix that cuz it annoying n pissing me so much. Every time i press to clear the target it opens the damn menu.
I tryed all! Nothing help me to solve that problem.

There is a small addon on Github called EscFix and it - resolves this problem. Get it here:

It restores the original functionality. If you changed your game menu keybind, you'll need to reset it to [Esc] for this addon to work correctly.

This aadon not fixing that problem at 100%. 1 of 10 times it anyway open the "Menu", cuz the addon is just closing menu in a nanosec. So the problem not solved. If anyone can help whith this problem, please contact me! I`m playing Lordaeron, nick - Srfc.

It doesn't close the menu. It prevents the menu from opening while you have a target selected. I am not playing much lately but I have not noticed any issues with the addon. Are you doing something specific when you notice it not working?

When the addon is enabled and you press the Esc key, it even makes a sound as if you were opening and closing the menu instantly. The first time you press Esc, the sound should be clearing the target. Pressing Esc again makes the sound of opening the menu. So, the addon simply clears the target and instantly closes the menu. If you quickly clear targets, the addon can't handle it and opens the menu again.
