I've been told I can buy gold for in-game with the points you get from donations. However, when I look through the things you can buy with points, I don't see anywhere that lists how much gold you can buy and how many points it costs. I would like to donate and buy gold, but I would like to know how much gold I'd be getting with the points I get. Can anyone confirm I can buy gold with points and if there is a chart that shows how much gold you get per 10 points or however it would work.

You can use coins to buy gold through Warmane's trade, not with points. Points are the ones you can collect for free daily, and offer limited items/services.

At the moment it seems you can expect on average to get at least 2K gold per coin. The gold value is expected to go up as inactivity cleanup draws closer, which includes the annual gold squish that cuts your gold in half.

Where do you see that 2000 gold per coin at?

Icecrown has people selling 2000 gold per coin. For example, I'm seeing some bloke posted 20000 gold for 10 coins.
