WotLK Farming Pet for 11 Levels!!!!!

I have been farming for the Captured firefly. I started killing bogflare needlers at level 58, i am now level 69. I havent had a single one drop. I have farmed maybe 20 firefly in the past, it usually takes me 2 to 4 nights of 8 to 10 hours of farming none stop. This time i must have killed 12000 bogflares, still no drop. Does anyone know if there is an issue with this pets dropping? I put in a ticket and the GM replied saying they cant help me as they dont help with these kinds of issues, even though all i asked was..... Is there an issue with this pets drop rate.
I am so invested and have put in so much time and effort, i have skipped the entirety of outland by killing 1 single mob, so i cant stop farming because its too much to just give up on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Given the drop chance is 0.05%...

I have seen numerous quotedd drop rates from 0.1% to 0.08% and now you say 0.05%. As i stated above, over the 20 years i have been playing this game, i have farmed around 20 flies, none has ever taken close to this number of kills. All im asking is if anyone knows of any issues with this drop, as even GMs refused to answer that simple question.

If you have a serious suspicion that there is an issue with the drop you have to post it in the bug tracker. A developer will take a look at the drop table.
