WotLK Missing item

The Problem:
Item gone missing.
A week ago i found out my shield(Bulwark of Azzinoth) is missing. I tryed to put on tanking gear set and it said that off-hand is missing. I looked in my bags and bank, but it's nowhere to be found. The shield haven't appeared in the mail, but in the bags i found a solid gold coin (not sure but i think it was in the slot my shild used to be, maybe it has turned in to a coin?).
I made a bug report but nothing changed.
Please help me get my shield back, i like it very much :D.

That coin just appeared the as bags got filled.

Disable addons and look at your bags and bank again. If the shield was obtained in-game, you need to re-obtain it if you want to have it again.
