Technical Banned the moment I got a VPN

I was playing the game, but I had some internet setting issues with my provider, and i've been told that using a VPN fixes them. I got one, and when I tried to log back in it said my account was blocked and could be unlocked. Came here to check how to unlock it, and it said that my IP was banned for Advertising.

I am new here, barely got to 80 and the only thing I ever advertised was the need to buy a totem-slot item for my shaman to queue heroics. I didn't spam that, so I'm sure it's not the reason. Right now I am waiting for the ticket to be solved, but I worry I will miss out on the first lockout of Naxx on Onyxia. Is there anything else i can do?

You can wait (and not use VPNs, since scoundrels use them to spam)

At least for now I have to use it. I know for a fact my brother has the same internet connection issues, uses the same VPN, and he's not banned.

sometimes you get a banned IP that players that break rules used before (for boting/cheating/scamming/ etc...)
thats why using your own IP or premium vpn can be better.

It's a matter of time until your brother gets banned as well.
